The Daubert standard for expert evidence rewards reproducibility. A defense expert who can re-run an analysis against the same inputs and methodology should get the same result. Our methodology is deterministic by design — and the Reproduce button proves it on demand.
Pulls the methodology version + content hash + findings + graph payload from the source-of-truth tables and re-derives the report shape.
If same-version and identical, the panel says so. If drift, it names whether the methodology advanced (expected) or the canonical sources moved (investigate).
Original output SHA-256 + replay output SHA-256. Defense expert can recompute either independently.
Reproducibility panel sits on every investigation detail page.
One click. The platform calls fb_investigation_replay_diff and stamps the result to investigation_replays.
Per-field comparison (methodology version, content hash, findings count, addresses discovered). Identical fields are emerald; drift is amber.
Plain English, and scoped: 'record integrity confirmed — the stored record has not drifted' OR 'drift detected — investigate' OR 'methodology advanced; drift expected.' The note also lists what the check did NOT do.
The replay history (last 5 runs with status) lives on the investigation. Provenance is built in.
Honesty rail
When the methodology has advanced since the original seal (a new version with a different content hash), the drift is EXPECTED. The original report remains valid against its pinned methodology version — we never silently overwrite history.
